"Being from New York we were in search of Toronto's best deli. Our concierge recommended the Corned Beef House. Not only did this gem of a place have the characteristics of an old stlye New York deli the food was unbelievable. Upon entering the restaurant were were greeted several times from friendly employees with a casual approach. We ordered corned beef, montreal smoked and reuben sandwiches...the best sandwiches we have ever had, including from New York.

Overall this place was short of spectacular besides the heat the day was perfect. We finished our lunch off with some homemade cheesecake which was excellent as well as coffee, which was on the house big thumbs up to the owner of that idea.

We will definitely be comming back on our next visit to your wonderful city"

"The hotel my wife and I stayed at strongly reccommended the Corned Beef House as the best Deli in Toronto. so we decided to try it and we loved it, juiciest corned beef I've ever had and the fries were baked to perfection. Washed it all down with a Boylans Orange cream soda pop, which my wife stated best " taste like a creamsicle in a bottle". Well worth the visit and we'll definitely be back"

"I just had to give a shout out to the CBH. If you're in the mood for good deli, a simple laid back meal and in the downtown Toronto area, this is the place to eat! It's a small place and once the ovens get going in there, it's pretty hot but in my opinion well worth it because the sandwiches are fantastic! The meat is tender and not at all chewy! I cannot say enough good things about this place. Granted deli can be pretty basic but lets face it! Outside of NYC you aren't going to find very many good deli sandwiches with fresh meat cooked to perfection. The Corned Beef house just does it right. You are always greeted warmly by one of the staff, whether it's one of the very busy servers or the gentleman taking orders behind the bar. I always feel very at ease in the place. Everyone who works there is very personable and that just makes the place so much more appealing (apart from the great sandwiches of course). Even the other patrons are friendly when waiting in the very busy restaurant"

"I discovered this place in June of 2007 and quickly became addicted. The Rueben sandwich is my personal favourite. Add a side of their delicious potato salad and that "food high" sets in. (True foodies/gluttons know what I'm talking about.) Also I have to mention the staff there is excellent. Always very friendly and great to chat with which is good while you wait for your lunch order. Just go there!"

"My boyfriend and I were just in Toronto over the weekend from Chicago and stumbled into the CBH on Saturday.
What a find!  I’m surprised that the street was so quiet with all the excitement going on inside with your food.
Everything was delicious!  We tried the Montreal Smoked Meat for the first time – wish you were in Chicago! I want more!
Next time we are in ( and we plan to return to Toronto soon) I want to eat my way across the menu!
